Updated, please read pet travel between the UK and the EU countries after Brexit.

Well, as you all know, we are still confused about what is happening to our situation with regard to Europe. Under current advice from the government, the UK will still leave the European Union (EU), although we don’t know when. The situation regarding travel to the EU for Pets remains very uncertain.

The UK is likely to be treated as an ‘unlisted country’ under the EU Pet Travel Scheme if there’s a no-deal Brexit. If the UK is classed as an unlisted country after Brexit, Pet Passports issued in the UK would not be valid for travel to the EU.

If you’re planning on travelling with your pet, it’s really worth contacting your vet with four months notice so we can get things in place as well as we can at that stage.
