Canine babesiosis new tick-borne disease in dogs

Given the recent news about some cases of dogs in Essex being diagnosed with the tick borne disease Babesiosis, we thought we would share some information which has been circulated by MSD.

Hannah Brown, veterinary surgeon at Quantock Veterinary Hospital said “Although we haven’t yet seen a local case of babesiosis The Quantocks is a perfect environment for ticks and so we are keeping vigilant and alerting our clients to the risks and the symptoms to look out for.”
